Job for a Contract Manager: High Technology Marine Services Firm



Adexen is recruiting for its client - a leading international company in High technology marine services for the offshore Oil & Gas industry.

Our client is looking for a senior Nigerian Contract manager for the headquarters. The contract manager will have the responsibility to Manage vessel charter contract:

* Vessel charter only
* Vessel charter and engineering & offshore management

Responsibilities

* Maintain all corporate contract and amendment files current and aligned with company rules including summary sheets, Database entry records, close outs and archiving.
* Contractual and technical follow up with Client locally
* Follow up of any ship deficiency, crewing, ship cost, re-imbursable ship cost. Write, prepare and present remedial action plan to Client
* Follow up of parts from order to delivery to vessel, and provide update of any delay in process to management
* Manage local project engineer (if applicable) and provide installation engineering procedure, if necessary.
* Prepare and control as built documentation & planning
* Organise and procure equipment/materials necessary for the performance of the project and implement QA/QC system, with prior approval of management
* Obtain from charterer procedure and risk analysis for planned operation to assess risk and inform captain accordingly. (if develop by charterer)
* Recruit and organise site supervision team for procurement QA/QC control in cooperation with operation manager. Ensure personnel are adequately trained. Supervise onshore operation and logistic when vessel is berthing to quayside
* Implement/develop system and procedure to share information/feed back within the group
* Develop and provide the management with monthly project/vessel report
* Develop commercial awareness of any other potential other charter or work of interest to the group, through charterer, or within charterer area.
* Develop and maintain, purchasing and subcontract register, and specific procedure
* At tender stage, establish technical evaluation and recommend technical proposal, planning, contract review, establish planning, and budget.
* Propose and developed complementary service to customer within group strategy

Qualifications & Experience

* Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience in project management for turnkey or service or oil and gas industry of 5 to 10 years
* Have excellent communication skills at all levels and demonstrate a high level of initiative
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team
* Familiar with ISM, ISO 9002, and experience of working in a service industry environment
* Computer Literate: network working, Word, Excel, MS project, autocad (basis)
* Offshore medical certificate, HUET course

Job Description:
Ensure timely review and approval of acceptance, testing, integration and cutover documentation related to regional operations
Ensure that a routine programme is in place and monitor the performance of these O&M radio routines in the assigned region
Ensure performance of BTS integration and acceptance tests in the assigned region.
Ensure prompt availability of information on inventory of FSE within the assigned region.
Review and recommend operation and maintenance procedures for regional FSE operations
Ensure that the processes and procedures are followed through in all FSE activities within the assigned region.
Prepare estimates annual budgetary needs (OPEX) for assigned region.
· Perform routine O&M procedures as prescribed for the Power, Transmission and BTS Radio networks.
· React to emergency faults and ensure that all faults are rectified promptly within contracted SLA.
· Ensure provision of power (requisite quality) to all sites within purview 24 hours a day
· Implement cross connect equipment in his designated area of the MTN Network
· Compile information on and report on the availability of the transmission network in light of the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
To swiftly diagnose and clear any faults or alarms assigned by trouble ticket, or ensure escalation within time period stipulated in SLAs to correct parties if unable to fix. To close or forward all trouble tickets promptly.
Maintain a sound working relationship between the network operations section and all associated parties, within the company and external.
Implement approved software changes as directed with change requests.
Ensure maintenance work undertaken by contractors meets MTN Nigeria’s specification.
Ensure that all planned network expansions take place on schedule, Transmission spectrum, transceiver upgrades and downgrades, rectifier upgrades etc. to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain a comprehensive set of records of all transmission links, BTS sites, power equipment and spares for all sites within designated area.
Ensure all security and network Integrity documentation is completed and adhered to.
Liaise with diesel contractors to ensure on-scheduled supply of diesel to sites within purview

Job Conditions: Tool of trade vehicle provided Normal MTNN working conditions National travel Valid drivers license. On stand by 24/7 through out the year
Reporting To: Regional Technical Officer
Required Skills:
Three (3) years hands-on radio network operations and maintenance experience in GSM environment, with at least two (2) years in a team leadership role.
